SitStay.com Dog Rescue Directory Sees growth

Lincoln, NE (PRWEB) September 22, 2009

Eight months after its introduction, rescue organizations throughout the United States have added over 600 rescue profiles to the SitStay Dog Rescue Directory, including profiles from 46 of the 50 states. Launched by SitStay.com in February 2009 at rescue.sitstay.com, the directory is designed to pair rescue organizations with people looking to add a rescued dog to their household.

Not only do those looking for dogs benefit, so do rescue organizations as well. Each month SitStay selects five rescue organizations at random from the directory to receive $ 200 worth of products from the SitStay catalog. “Giving to rescue is very, very important to us. Rescue a dog and they will rescue you right back,” said Darcie Krueger, SitStay.com President.

Having established a goal of adding 1,000 rescue organizations by December of 2009, SitStay is well on its way. “We’ve always been big supporters of dog rescue. Two of our SitStay dogs are rescues, one from Oklahoma and the other from Texas. There are so many rescued dogs needing homes and we want to help,” said Kent Krueger, Vice-President.

SitStay, Inc. (http://www.sitstay.com) started in the mid 90’s as a mom and pop dog supply store on the internet. It has since grown to one of the largest dog supply retailers on the internet. With a focus on “Good for Your Dog Supplies”, SitStay believes strongly that the health of our dogs comes first. This has made them a leader in healthy dog treats, chews, foods and safe dog toys and equipment. Media requests or questions should be directed to Luke Derowitsch (402.467.3426).
