Consumer Rating Website Announces its Best of the Decade Awards

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) January 14, 2010

Consumer rating and review website RateItAll today announced that it has processed more than 5M user ratings across more than 150 categories from hundreds of thousands of consumers to unveil its Best of the Decade awards for the 2000-2009 period.

Founded in 1999, RateItAll is one of a handful of rating sites to have been online for every moment of the decade.

“We believe that our Best of the Decade awards is the most comprehensive and ambitious online awards program ever attempted,” said RateItAll CEO Lawrence Coburn. “Our longevity online combined with the breadth and depth of our data have allowed us to keep the pulse of public opinion for an entire decade.”

RateItAll’s Best of the Decade Awards span more than 150 categories, broadly divided into Products and Culture. In calculating the awards, the company’s proprietary Confidence Score algorithm was used to determine a pool of finalists in each category, from which RateItAll’s editorial team selected 1-3 winners.

The Products awards cover everything from Best Dog Food to Best Airline to Best Online University.

The Culture awards cover everything from Most Mourned Celebrity Death to Best Indie Album to Best Place for a Tattoo.
