Find Flair for Your Furry Friend at

Tujunga, CA (PRWEB) August 08, 2011

Web entrepreneur Marcia Heatley is pleased to unveil her new blog, The interactive platform, launched in June 2011, is a complement to Heatley’s online dog clothing and accessories boutique,

The main site made its debut in October 2010. “I was inspired to start this business because of the passion I have for dogs,” said Heatley. “They are just so adorable, especially small dogs.”

On cold or rainy days, outfit a pooch in an adorable coat or rain jacket. Go for classic styles like the red plaid Scottish coat, or a hip vibe with the reversible graffiti jacket, or even a bad-to-the-bone look with a leather motorcycle jacket. A preppy look can be achieved with dog shirts like the yellow and red polo shirt or dress down in a safari print shirt. For special occasions, dress up four legged friends in formal attire, such as a black tuxedo, wedding dress, or pink evening gown. Each item of clothing is handmade, to order, by talented seamstresses from California and Texas. No canine outfit is complete without accessories! For the dog with biker flare, try a motorcycle cap or accessorize a patriotic dog’s look with an army cap or a red cowboy hat. Add some bling with unique Swarovski pendants and sparkling necklaces.

Heatley has also established a unique relationship with Alyson Whitney, an American designer and creator of Chowtime Productions. Whitney hand paints whimsical scenes on dog bowls and matching treat jars. Each piece is painted three to four times to achieve strong, opaque colors, and then is bisque fired, glazed with lead-free glaze and fired a second time. This renders each item food and dishwasher safe. Whitney also produces urns with painted scenes that show the love and joy dogs give to their owner, so even when a beloved pet passes, he or she can still be close at hand.

“These ceramic pieces are truly one-of-a-kind,” said Heatley. “Colors can even be adjusted to better match the physical appearance of a pet.”

Customer satisfaction is of the utmost importance at Each piece of inventory is screened for quality and price, and then artfully displayed on the colorful, easy to navigate website. In addition to photos and detailed descriptions, the site has a handy sizing chart, complete with instructions on how to properly measure a dog. As the pieces are custom-made, it takes approximately two weeks for orders to be produced and shipped. Customer feedback is always welcome, and questions are answered in a timely manner by a friendly, knowledgeable staff member.
