Community Calendar Listing: Weekend Intensive Yoga Workshop

Next weekend Flip Dog Power Yoga + Pilates brings Yoga Journal yogi Jason Crandell to Peddler’s Village in Lahaska, PA for a “weekend intensive” yoga workshop October 15-17.

“Jason’s visit is a real highlight for the local yoga community,” said Flip Dog Founder Melinda Drellich, “we are excited to be able to bring him and we have really been looking forward to the workshop.”

All are welcome and encouraged to attend. Beginning students will be taught modifications while advanced students will be given space to travel deeper into their practice. Whether you come to explore yoga for the first time or to deepen your practice, Jason offers a fresh, inspiring approach.

Sessions run throughout the weekend of October 15-17, 2004:

Friday    6-8:30 PM     Setting the Tone

Saturday     9-12 AM    Exploring and Developing Core Strength

            1:30-3:30 PM     Backbending with the Whole Spine

Sunday    10 AM -1 PM     The (hopefully not much) Agony and Ecstasy of Hip Openers

Students may register for each day separately (Friday is $ 45, Saturday is $ 75 and Sunday is $ 50) or for the entire weekend for $ 160. All sessions will be held in the studio at Flip Dog Power Yoga + Pilates, 74 Peddler’s Lane, Peddler’s Village, Lahaska, PA 18931. Please call 215-794-9349 to register.

About Jason Crandell Based in San Francisco, CA, Jason Crandell teaches Hatha and Iyengar based vinyasa yoga in a compassionate, knowledgeable and accessible manner. He has had the great fortune of apprenticing extensively with Rodney Yee. Jason is a faculty instructor at Yoga Journal magazine, a regular presenter at Yoga Journal conferences and is featured in their step-by-step home practice videos. Beginning in 2005 he will write a regular “For the Beginner’s” column in Yoga Journal. Jason encourages his students to find steadiness, ease and integration in their bodies and minds.
