Question by WinWin: Please can someone explain to me exactly what “the chase” and a “lucky dog” are?
I hear you all referring to these terms, but don’t have a clue what they mean.
It’s fun watching the races, but I would like to know what’s going on, at least vaguely!
@Amp it up – Unlike you I do have friends, but what they do or say is not my responsibility. You are clearly not interested in either NASCAR or answering questions, so I think you should run along and go start a fight somewhere else. You’re p!ssing everyone off. Byeee!

The chase is the last 10 races of the year and only the top 12 drivers can be in it. These 12 drivers will then race for the top position and to be champion in the last 10 races.
The luck dog is how you get your lap back when you are the first car a lap down during caution.
