Elk Grove, California (PRWEB) April 22, 2012

McConnell Estates Winery, in Elk Grove, California, will kick off its annual summer concert series on June 16th with a two-band performance by Northern California artists The Spotted Dog Blues Review and Marshall Wilkerson & His Smoked Sugar Blues Band. Tickets for the winery’s concerts are available online at http://www.mcconnellestates.com. Tickets may also be purchased in person at the McConnell Estates Winery tasting room on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The “2012 McConnell Estates Summer Concert Series” will offer one concert per month, from June through October, featuring soul, blues, blues rock and classic rock. Each concert takes place outdoors on the winery’s lawn area with seating for a maximum of 600 persons. Northern California artists also include the Used Blues Band, the Lauri Morvan Band, the Daniel Castro Band, and Renegade ending the season with a tribute to Styx. “We’re really looking forward to this year’s line-up of local talent performing at our family’s winery,” said Mike Wackman, Winemaker and Owner. “It’s a great way to spend time with family and friends on a warm Saturday evening.”

Wine will be available for purchase before each concert in the McConnell Estates tasting room as well as during concerts in designated areas. (No outside alcoholic beverages will be permitted as the California State Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control Board requires that all alcoholic beverages consumed on the winery grounds be purchased at the winery.) Concert-goers may bring their own picnic baskets and non-alcoholic beverages. In addition, local food vendors will be on hand with a limited selection of menu items for sale.

McConnell Estates Winery is located at 10686 West Stockton Boulevard in Elk Grove, adjacent to CA Highway 99 between Grant Line Road and Eschinger Road. For more information or directions, visit online at mcconnellestates.com or call the winery at 916/685-5368.

About McConnell Estates Winery: For five generations, the McConnell and Wackman families have been farming the land just north of the Cosumnes River along Highway 99 in Elk Grove. In 2004, the beautiful McConnell house, built over 100 years ago, became a bustling winery and tasting room where the family’s estate grown and produced wines can be sampled. The winery hosts an annual summer concert series as well as a variety of year-round events and is also utilized for numerous weddings and private events throughout the year.
