Question by LuvinMyMutt: Should craigslist remove there “Dog” section IYO?
f Before I say anything i’m just a teen girl trying to make a difference. My mother is a rescue advocate (in our town) for a rescue I volunteer with. So I do have a lot of first hand experience with craigslist dogs and dog rescue in general.

So! Over the past three years (of me doing rescue) I’ve seen a lot of problems with craigslist. It’s a free website where you can pretty much post anything you want. Including dogs. Back yard breeders flock to craigslist to sell there puppies. Craigslist suggest you nevr go to someone’s house and instead meet up somewhere else. So people buying these puppies have no idea where they are coming from, never meet the parents, etc. The breeders get their money and take a home from a shelter animal. And the new owners have no idea where their new pet has come from.

Another thing I’ve seen is dog flipping. Someone will get a dog for a rehoming fee of 50 keep it a few weeks and then repost it for $ 150 saying it just isn’t working out. This is also a huge problem because pets are being thrown around from home to home for a little profit. Not good.

Pit bulls are posted for free on there ALL THE TIME. This also raises red flags because obviously APBT are used to fighting. And what better place to find a dog?

When I was younger my mom ran a section of “free cycle” which is kind of like craigslist but everything is free! After a couple complaints they had to remove the pet section ALL TOGETHER because people were getting the free kittens and using them as fishing bait. And thy caught several people taking dogs as dog fighting bait and fighters. It was horrible.

I think removing the pet section would be monumental. It would effect some people trying to find good homes for there pets but It would also ssave a lot of animals from torture and pain. I know ot of people don’t share the same views as me and just think about the good that CL does for animals. But I feel there is more bad than good.

Do you think it should be taken down?

Answer by ♥Domino♥ Death to IGNORANCE
Yes. I rarely see anything on there but BYBs peddling their pups.

The people offering services such as dog training or pet sitting can post in another category and the people selling items can sell in different categories as well.

Would you like to “live as a dog”?

Question by Luciferase: Would you like to “live as a dog”?
Dont think of it as “becoming a dog”, but as Diogenes of Sinope describes, with no hypocrisy or artificiality, getting rid of social values.
I think social values make us evil, since they force us to be what we are not. Just think about this; why is sex (or making love, or expressing love) so disgusting in public? Why is nudity a taboo? We all do sex and we all have breasts, and vaginas and penises. As Diogenes said, it is all a hypocrisy.
Megalomania: I agree slightly. It is easier to live as a human but only with political values, not with moral values. Moral values go against nature. We dont need them, since they repress our nature and makes us delinquents
Old dog: Yes, that is true, but that is natural behavior. Besides, we suffer the same but at a different level. In our “society”, the alpha dog would be the rich man, the one that gets better health care, a better house, a better meal. The poor (or not that poor) man, gets to be the last in the heart transplant list, gets to work harder for less money, and eats cheaper and more unhealthy. We have the same hierarchy, but at a different dimension.
I forgot, Diogenes actually lived his life like a “dog”.
When I say as a dog, I mean figuratively. Can you imagine the “human world” without morals?

Looking at the Human Society, in the World Today, I think life in a kennel or as a truck dog or as a Race Dog or as a Station Sheep Dog or a Show Dog, even as a Blind Dog or a Guard Dog.
Would be a ‘Hell of a Lot’ more pleasant, then parts of the U.S.A, parts of the UK, parts of Russia or parts of Australia. Not to mention Zimbabwe, Pakistan, anywhere in Africa and certain parts of South American continent

Are “turkey hot dogs” wrapped in intestine?

Question by L-dawg: Are “turkey hot dogs” wrapped in intestine?
I bought some “Jennie O” brand turkey dogs. My friend says they are wrapped in intestines. Is that true? ew.

Best answer:

Answer by Tony
No. Not Jennie O and Turkey dogs as far as I know will never be wrapped in pork, lamb, or beef intestine in a commercial grade since the turkey dog’s biggest buyer is the no red meat eater and health interest people. The skin is one made of vegetable proteins and cellulose.

Pupolicious Birthday Parties

Quincy, IL (PRWEB) May 10, 2013

Whether someone is throwing a party for their fur-child, or giving out goodies to a friend for their little one’s special day, plan to give out goodie bags full of healthy dog treats from Pupolicious that are baked in your kitchen with no unpronounceable ingredients for all of the happy dogs.

“When my lab turned 10, we went nuts. Her vet had just diagnosed her with copper storage disease, cirrhosis of the liver, hepatitis, end stage liver failure, cataracts and more. It’s as if, all of a sudden, she had all the problems in the world,” said Karin, loving dog owner. “They said 6 months to a year, and it is great and we are so happy, because she is still enjoying Pupolicious and being a totally happy and healthy little girl, with the help of 18 chewable pills hiding in her prescription food twice a day!”

She goes on to say, “Anyways, we gave out goodie bags full of wheat free dog treats from Pupolicious! I would suggest a birthday package where a dozen see-through plastic goodie bags are included, which are very inexpensive even with bone print added so dog parents can save money while handing out cute little party favors or impressing friends with their thoughtfulness.”

The homemade dog biscuits, which are also gluten-free dog treats, come with dog bone cookie cutters that children love and two sizes of cookie cutters are available: one for small dogs and one for medium-sized and large dogs. Each bag of mix makes 25-50 treats. The homemade dog treats are baked in a conventional oven and are ready in just a few minutes. The video included shows how much fun a birthday party can be for your special puppy, making them a big part of the family.

Healthy dog treats by Pupolicious can be ordered online at pupolicious.com and shipped anywhere in the United States; they are also made in the U.S.A.

Question by Milla S.: Is “Sleeping Dogs” worth a purchase? How does it compare to other open world crime games?
I’m thinking of purchasing Sleeping Dogs for my PC. I really like open world “crime” games, like GTA (of course), Saints Row 2 & 3, Red Dead Redemption and even though you don’t play a criminal in it I also like L.A. Noire. I also like Kung-Fu movies and martial arts in general . So, is the game worth purchasing? How are the controls? How is it compared to Red Dead Redemption, GTA and so on?

Best answer:

Answer by Sunshine
Sleeping dogs is a follow up to True crime games, it plays a lot like a mix of games, like it mixes Batman Arkham City with blends of GTA. Fighting is simple enough and if mastered you can string together some pretty impressive fighting. Music is fitting for the game mixing hip hop and trending music but also using oriental sounds to give this game a unique feel. The acting is spot on for the game and is voiced by some big named Asian actors. The storyline keeps you engrossed and lets you play both sides of the law which keeps it interesting..There is loads to do and see with side missions aswell , but unlike gta you play as a cop aswell so you do missions on both sides . there is to much to list but to sum up great story , missions , fighting , racing,

Question by Jaylie!: Can Seeing Eye Dogs “Service Dogs” Pick thing up for you?
This question isn’t intended to offend anyone, I’m writing something and just want to make sure I get my facts right, otherwise I think wrong information might be more offensive than this question. But let’s a blind person is holding something and then they accidentally drop it, would their guide dog pick it up for them(with their mouth obviously) or not? Thanks so much!

Best answer:

Answer by Kay
Absolutely. Many service dogs are trained to do so. They can also learn to open drawers on the dresser, to get items out.

My dog is not a trained service dog and even she will pick things up for me. If I drop my cell phone, she’ll happily pick it up and bring it to me if I ask her to. :)

Yes, I’m that lazy… lol…
