All-Natural Dog Biscuits from Dynamite to Be Featured Monday on Nat?l Radio

All-Natural Dog Biscuits from Dynamite to Be Featured Monday on Nat’l Radio

Jos Zamzow, Dynamite COO, will talk about natural dog treats.

Meridian, Idaho (PRWEB) December 16, 2011

Jos Zamzow, chief operating officer of Dynamite Specialty Products here, will talk about Canine Cookies, a wheat-free, corn-free all-natural dog biscuit, on the nationally syndicated My Buddy Butch radio show on Monday at 7 p.m. EST (4 p.m. PST).

The all-natural dog treat was introduced earlier this year.

“Because of recent increases in dog allergies, many people are looking for corn-free, wheat-free and gluten-free dog food,” Zamzow said. “Dog treats with cereal grains such as wheat and corn cause a variety of dog allergies, including itchy skin and ears, and excessive weight gain.

The My Buddy Butch show runs on radio stations, including satellite radio, in selected markets across the nation. It also can be heard on the Internet at mybuddybutch.com.

“We had requests for healthy dog biscuits because so many dog treats have questionable ingredients, including chemical preservatives such as BHA (butylated hydroxyanisole), BHT (butylated hydroxytoluene) and ethoxyquin,” Zamzow explained. “Several dog trainers who use our all-natural, gluten-free dog food, asked us for an easy-to-feed healthy dog treat to use in training.”

The gluten-free dog food, as well as all other Dynamite animal feeds, is formulated according to standards of the American Association of American Feed Control Officials, Inc. The paw-shaped, natural dog biscuits cost $ 19.95 for a 2.5-pound bag.

A family-owned business that has specialized in animal nutrition for four generations, Dynamite Specialty Products makes products for virtually every member of the animal kingdom. It has long developed all-natural dog food and nutritional supplements for show dogs across the country and prize-winning racehorses. Its specialists in dog nutrition and animal nutrition can recommend exactly what vitamins, minerals and other supplements best support dogs with allergies, horses with laminitis, cats whose owners make their own food, and cows with digestive issues.

Dynamite has worked with veterinarians and university researchers to produce specialty foods to correct nutritional deficiencies in animals ranging from Canadian muskoxen to peregrine falcons to zoo exotics.

Dynamite uses only natural ingredients, made in the United States for better quality control. Throughout its history of making natural dog food, it has always looked at alternatives to animal by-products, antibiotics, chemical preservatives, fumigants, artificial coloring and other additives that have later caused dog allergies and other health problems. Its manufacturing processes are so stringently controlled that Dynamite has a separate mill to produce feed for herbivores, such as horses and poultry that are especially sensitive to contamination from meat needed by other species such as dogs and cats.

Dynamite has manufacturing facilities in Idaho and Iowa.

Additional information on natural dog food and dog vitamin and mineral supplements is available at DynamiteSpecialty.com or by calling (800) 697-7434.

Sales Increase for Dynamite’s All-Natural, Hypoallergenic Dog Treats

Sales Increase for Dynamite’s All-Natural, Hypoallergenic Dog Treats

Trooper waits for an all-natural dog treat.

Meridiam, ID (PRWEB) July 31, 2011

Sales of gluten-free, all-natural dog biscuits, introduced in June, have increased almost 40 percent during the past few weeks, helping Dynamite Specialty Products customers to train happier, healthier and better-behaved dogs.

Dynamite encourages reward-based dog training techniques using all-natural dog biscuits to improve dog nutrition, health and behavior.

Lavon Calzacorta, owner and trainer of one of the nation’s top sheep-herding dogs, gives tips for one easy dog trick, teaching your dog to balance a dog treat on its nose. He uses Dynamite’s paw-shaped, gluten-free dog biscuits. His theme is to, “Keep it simple, and keep it fun.”

To start, Calzacorta says, “It’s best to evaluate your dog to see what your dog does naturally. Next, try to get your dog to be comfortable staying in place.” Calzacorta suggests remaining close to your pet until it’s comfortable sitting still.

To train the dog to balance an all-natural dog biscuit on its nose, Calzacorta suggests having the dog sit, then placing the treat on the dog’s muzzle and holding your hand under its chin with a gentle pressure. Next, gradually remove that pressure.

Rather than expecting the dog to perform immediately, Calzacorta encourages “growing” the trick gradually. If the dog remains still for even a couple of seconds after removing the pressure from its chin, it is learning.

“The next important step,” says Calzacorta, “is to accompany the same action of placing the gluten-free biscuit on your pet’s muzzle with a command such as ‘balance’ and to challenge your pet to balance the all-natural dog treat for longer than two seconds.”

Finally, Calzacorta suggests refraining from forcing a pet to perform tricks for long periods of time. “It’s better to train your pet for around 15 minutes to encourage effective learning,” he says. “Once your dog loses interest, you aren’t going to gain any ground.”

A dog training video showing how to use Dynamite’s gluten-free dog biscuits is available at http://www.youtube.com/user/dynamitespecialty?blend=2&ob=5#p/u/0/ed8WyJiZ4Xw.

Dynamite’s introduction of the all-natural, gluten-free Canine Cookie was a response to a need in the pet health community. “We had requests for healthy dog biscuits because so many dog treats have questionable ingredients, including chemical preservatives such as BHA (butylated hydroxyanisole), BHT (butylated hydroxytoluene) and ethoxyquin,” said Callie Novak, Dynamite CEO.

“Several dog trainers who use our all-natural, gluten-free dog food, asked us for an easy-to-feed healthy dog treat to use in training sessions,” she added. “They also needed a hypoallergenic dog treat that will avoid triggering allergies.”

The paw-shaped, natural dog biscuits cost $ 19.95 for a 2.5-pound bag.

Feeding a dog takes much planning. Just as you would put together a meal for your family, coming up with the right dog food diet also needs some consideration on balancing nutrition and taste. A perfect dog food diet is a wholesome balance of all the essential nutrients. A lack of proper nutrients can make your dog underweight and lethargic. Then again, if you feed him too much of everything, the dog becomes obese and will eventually experience all the difficulties that go with being overweight
