Question by w1w1hardy: Splicing another wire into my “invisible fence” wire but I can’t make it work. What’s the problem?
I’ve spliced two different sized wires into my invisible fence wire and neither one is conducting the electricity from the invisible fence. What am I doing wrong?

Best answer:

Answer by XTX
=== you do not have the fence insulated and we need more detail about your Indivisible fence… what is supposed to happen with an electrified wire fence is that the hot wire is not grounded and the insulated hot wire is suspended from those insulated ceramic holders and when the fence is touched by man or dog or other animales then it is grounded and the current is discharged into the intruder …. check for grounded hot wire and it must be on a separate breaker …. not a GFCI …

Question by Andrew: Dog has compressed disc and can’t afford surgery?
Yesterday my dog oliver(jap.chin-poodle, 1 1/2 years old) suffered a compressed disc and it’s putting pressure on his spinal cord. I woke up in the morning and found him unable to walk or use either of his hine legs. I immediatley took him to the vet and they told me he would need a surgery that would cost between 7-10 thousand dollars. I can’t afford that. He’s now able to wag his tail, urinate, and poop, but cant use his hine legs (has some feeling in hine legs). Does anyone know of any non-surgery alternatives, i’ve heard that a dog chiropractor can be helpful. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

At my vet’s office one of the vets performs acupuncture. I’m not sure if I would have a chiropractor work on him, one wrong manipulation could be bad. Also Is your dog on an anti-inflammatory drug? I’m sorry. I wish you and your puppy Luck.

I usually get all worked up, because I am even worse than an old dog. I don’t even know any new tricks to teach. I mean, I think and think, and nothing happens. “New trick… new trick… I got nothing.”

Let’s say I know a bunch of old dogs and we already know a wealth of tricks and can still learn new ones. I would call it a crock of junk, you can teach old dogs new tricks. I even taught a 14 year old dog tricks.
